What types of grass are there and which is good for a lawn

Can someone please tell me what types of grass are suitable for a lawn. I hear a lot of names, Korean grass, Dhaka grass, American grass, I don't know which is which. Can someone please post pics of the grass so I can understand the difference between them.

My lawn has two kinds of grass mixed into it. One type is a lighter shade of green with very short leaves, it grows slowly and instead of growing upwards it sort of spreads. I don't know what type this is called. The other type has larger leaves is a dark shade of green and grows much faster vertically.

I will post pics later, don't have them right now. In the meantime, I would appreciate it if someone can list the different types with pictures.

This is a pic of the two types. The one on the left looks like Dhaka grass (Bermuda). Correct me if I am wrong. The other seems to be the wild type.

Another pic comparing the two. The wild one grows much taller, while the other type spreads horizontally.

You can see the wild type circled in red.
