coriander seeds not germinating

Salam to all and Ramazan Mubarak !!!! ..

I just want to asked that why coriander seeds does not germinate. I had put these seeds two months but it had'nt germinate yet, I also keep the moist during this period, and it is not the first time I tried, i have tried several times to germinate these seeds but nothing had happend.... kindly give me the reasons or guidance to germinate coriander seeds.. Thankyou!!

May be your coriander seeds are old. A very simple test to check whether your seeds are alive or not, is to place them in a bowl of water. If the seeds continue to float on the top after 5-6 minutes, chances are the seeds are no longer alive.
Anyway, don't place the seeds too deep in the soil. Make sure the soil has good drainage. More importantly, the khaad (manure) should be old. Fresh khaad has tons of bacteria and unwanted stuff and it can easily damage any young seedling.

yes your are right the seeds are dead ... i was newly bought seed from nearly general store......where can i get good seeds??? thank you very much
