Haha... seems you didnt realise the tests to establish if your a stayer, go-er or a spoon feed merchant.
A bit like sorting the wheat from the chaff

I hope I don't get to see your RED EYES.
By the way How mush castings would be good enough for a true 14 inches pot.

Haha... Touche on the Red Eyes. Awaiting the season so i can grow some nice 'medicine'.
Doing this for the first time, so I have absolutely no idea about the yield on my bin. Will keep it going for around 3-4 months more.
If i were to guess a ballpark, i'd say hopefully 1.5-2 kg worth of castings (if I'm lucky).

Day 30.
When i opened the lid today, the first time since Chand Raat, i was surprised at how productive the worms have been. I took the pic after i'd mixed things up and brought the bedding up to the surface and most of the compost back under it. Still, you can see a good amount of castings there at the top.
Was planning to not harvest before another couple of months but I'm surprised at the speed with which it's coming along. Another month should do it.
Edit: All of the food and 30% of the bedding is all that's left. Feeding egg and garma shells with teabags after blending tomorrow with 1/4 a brick of coir for more bedding

By the way, what is the size of particles of castings, size of silt, clay or finer?

They're pretty fine when i rub them between the fingers... hard to tell though since it's moist so lumps together. I'll have a closer look tomorrow and report.

Finer granules than quinoa but bigger than sea silt (raet).
